Project Overview
This project involved designing and implementing multiple security layers for the network infrastructure of a financial organization. The goal was protection against internal and external threats and compliance with security standards.
Challenges
The organization had previously experienced successful attacks and needed a comprehensive security approach. The existing infrastructure consisted of outdated equipment without security updates.
Solution
- Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing
- Implementation of a Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW)
- Deployment of an intrusion detection system (IDS/IPS)
- Implementation of data encryption in transit and at rest
- Creation of security policies and employee training
Results
Multiple security layers were implemented. A follow-up penetration test showed that critical vulnerabilities had been resolved and the organization now complies with security standards.
